Heart-Healthy Red Smoothie
(Gluten-Free | Vegetarian)
1 cup flax milk or almond milk
1 frozen banana, chopped
2 or 3 ice cubes
2 cups mixed frozen berries
½ cup frozen cherries
2 teaspoons chia seeds
1 tablespoon honey or agave nectar (optional)
1. In a powerful blender, combine the flax milk, banana, and ice and blend until smooth. Add the berries, cherries, chia seeds, and honey (if using) and blend again until smooth.
2. Pour into a glass container or portable bottle. Refrigerate until you are ready to enjoy.
